Terms of Service

1. Services

1.1 Liverpool Podcast Studios agrees to provide production services to the Client in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

2. Your Session

2.1 We recommend arriving no earlier than 5 minutes before your session start time to ensure a timely start. If you’re here earlier, there are plenty of nice coffee shops nearby to wait until your session. (Hardware is our favourite!)

2.2 We recommend allowing the first 10-15 minutes of your session to get comfortable and settled in before recording. This time is crucial for you to relax, adjust, and ensure that you’re ready to deliver the best content possible. It also gives you time to make any changes to the studio setup that you may need

2.3 If you have multiple guests arriving for your session, we recommend having them arrive together to avoid any background noise when coming in and out of the studio.

2.4 As we often have back-to-back bookings in the studio, we recommend wrapping up your recording at least 10 minutes before the end of your booked session time so you have plenty of time to pack up and debrief. If your session over runs by more than 15 minutes the extra time may be billable.

3. Post-production

3.1 Liverpool Podcast Studios is committed to making podcasting a breeze for our clients, which is why we provide standard post-production with your session to have your podcast fully produced and ready for publishing. The post-production included in your session is detailed below:

  • Switching between multiple cameras
  • Colour correction
  • Editing any re-takes/stops and starts in your recording
  • Editing in your brand assets (intros, outros, ads, logos, music)
  • Cleaning up the audio of coughs, sniffles, and background noise
  • Mixing and mastering your podcast to meet industry standards

3.2 Any special editing requests outside of the above may be billable and must be agreed upon prior to commencement.

4. Podcast Delivery

4.1 We recognise the importance of timeliness in the world of podcasting, that’s why we offer a rapid turn-around-time of 5 working days from the day of recording. If you have a specific deadline that requires expedited delivery, we may be able to accommodate, but such an agreement must be made between the parties prior to the session. (If you require a faster turnaround for all of your sessions, ask us about our monthly production plans.)

4.2 We want you to be 100% satisfied with your podcast, which is why we offer a 7-day revision period during which time you can review your content to request any changes or edits in accordance with the post-production terms below.

4.3 Please note that Liverpool Podcast Studios is unable to provide raw footage as part of the service.

5. Cancellations

5.1 For podcast sessions, refunds will be issued in full if a cancellation is made with at least 3 working days’ notice (or 5 working days for half-day and full-day sessions). Otherwise, a 25% session deposit will be charged. If the client cancels within 24 hours, a 50% session deposit will be charged.

5.2 Cancellations must be made in writing via email to bookings@liverpoolpodcaststudios.com

6. Data retention policy

This includes, but is not limited to, sirens, fire alarms, and occasional sounds within the building where recording takes place.

7.2 We recommend turning off your mobile phones and removing any chewing gum before recording (easiest way to lose your listeners!)

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Liverpool Podcast Studios shall not be responsible for any cars or personal belongings brought onto or left on the premises during the client’s sessions. Clients are advised to take appropriate precautions to secure their personal belongings.

8.2 Liverpool Podcast Studios can only retain session files for a fixed amount of time as specified in the data retention policy. The items that can be stored in the studio include: Large podcast signs too big to reasonably transport safely, standard size books and branded mugs.

11.2 The client consents to other clients using their items for their own props in the studio. This includes but is not limited to background props for the set, background decoration for the studio and it’s marketing purposes, and usage of mugs by other clients for refreshments.

11.3 Liverpool Podcast Studios will make it’s best reasonable effort to take care of the items left in the studios, but the client agrees that Liverpool Podcast Studios is not responsible for any damage or wear and tear of items that are left in the studio.

11.4 Liverpool Podcast Studios may request at any point the client to collect their personal items from the studio if necessary for instances of studio maintenance or relocation. The client will make reasonable efforts to collect the items within a reasonable time period from the request.
